We have just posted the event page & details for our Bald Eagles of Alaska Photography Holiday, to run during November 2016, the trip is to be conducted in & around the Chilkat Valley. Every portion of the preserve is used by eagles at some time during the year but from October to February, more than 3000 eagles congregate here to feed on spawning chum salmon.

Spanning seven days, the NaturesLens Bald Eagles Photography Holiday will include 6 days filled with Bald Eagle photography opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to photograph Bald Eagles on their nests in the trees, diving & fighting for fish or sitting within the landscape. We hope to photograph a wide selection of images; both portraits & closeup shots of perched eagles, eagles calling, flying, diving & fighting for fish; plus wider bird in the landscape images to show the habitat that the birds live within. The timing of the workshop is deliberate so that we can observe the bald eagles who gather for the late salmon run.

Bed & breakfast accommodation & transportation within Alaska is all included, we are staying in a comfortable hotel in the Haines area of Alaska. On this trip, we are also available to accommodate non-photographers, & have a special rate available – but any such non-photographer must be accompanied by a photographer; the non-photographer rate includes accommodation & airport transfer transportation but none of the activities.

The 2016 trip is being run at a discounted rate as it is the initial year of NaturesLens officially running the trip – in subsequent years, the cost will be at least £500 more.

2016 pricing is set at £2250 for a photographer & £1050 for a non-photographer. These prices exclude international flights or travel to Alaska. You can hold a place now with a deposit of £500.

There is an additional extension available to photograph Alaskan Mammals for two days at Kroschel Wildlife Centre – price on application. Species will likely include grizzly bear, wolf, moose, lynx, fox, reindeer, porcupine, snowy owl, wolverine & more.

If you would like to join NaturesLens in Alaska for the Bald Eagles Photography in Alaska Photography Holiday, you can view the full details of the trip on the event page.

We believe that the trip will provide excellent opportunities to photograph a wide selection of images; both portraits & closeup shots of perched eagles, eagles calling, flying, diving & fighting for fish; plus wider bird in the landscape images to show the habitat that the birds live within.
