Basic Birds of Prey Photography Workshop DetailsOur Basic Birds of Prey Workshops take place at two stunning locations: the first is a stunning private estate located in the heart of Kent; we have access to a secluded 700 acre private estate with formal gardens, woodland & parkland; the second is a Castle located in East Sussex – this offers a dramatic venue with incredible landscapes and views of the castle & moat. The exterior is virtually complete and the ramparts rise dramatically above the moat. Enough of the interior survives to give an impression of castle life.
This Birds of Prey Photography Workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced photographers alike. NaturesLens tutors will take you through camera control, ISO settings, aperture priority along with composition with the use of perched birds. We will give you the opportunity to capture natural “in the wild”, professional looking images of some of the most amazing & charismatic Owls, Hawks & Eagles.
Using professional falconers and trained birds, you will be able to get incredibly close to some of these magnificent birds for some eye level, frame filling portraits with natural breathtaking backgrounds. The falconer will do his best to hide the jesses to make the shots look as natural as possible.
Group numbers are strictly limited to allow everyone to get a great position and general advice will be given each time a new bird is introduced.
Our Birds of Prey Photography Workshop is held at & uses birds from a local falconry centre in Kent, UK.
