Due to overwhelming demand for places on our Skomer Puffins Photography Holiday which booked out all available places for the 2015 holiday within a week, we are contemplating running a second holiday if the numbers justify it. Therefore, if you missed out on securing a place on our 2015 residential puffins photography trip & would like to attend a possible second trip, please make a booking enquiry using the form here.
This event is now full – please consider emailing us if you would like to attend the 2016 event & be placed onto a list to be informed when we have an announcement to make regarding that photographic tour.
Our Skomer Puffins Photography Holiday expands on the success of this event in previous years & based on a number of people’s feedback, we have increased our stay on the island from two nights to three nights. The cost of the trip is £450, this is for 3 nights on the island, as previously, we include evening meals, breakfasts, landing fees, plenty of laughter & the opportunity to photograph the iconic puffin at dawn & dusk.
Skomer is not only about the puffins, although they are without a doubt the stars of the show. The more sedate razorbills & Guillemots watch visitors from the rugged cliffs that make up the island’s terrain. Inland of the island, there are colonies of short-eared owls, these beautiful birds of prey fly & hunt during the day on the island. During the evening, Skomer becomes home to what is believed to be the largest population in the world of manx shearwaters. The island becomes alive with their calls as they return to their burrows.
