Robin Lowry will once again lead our Atlantic Puffins of Fair-Isle trips in 2019. We have seen some fantastic award winning images coming from this trip in past years. One guest, Sunil Gopalan, won the Animal Behaviour category in the British Wildlife Photography Awards with his dramatic photo taken on our 2017 trip.
We are frequently asked why we run trips to
Skomer & Fair-Isle to photograph puffins. The answer is quite simple – because each location offers different photographic opportunities & the experiences are entirely different from one another.
Our accommodation on Fair-Isle is a fantastic lodge that provides hearty meals at breakfast, lunch & dinner. All the rooms have en-suites & there are also single rooms available for guests who don’t want to share a room. Some have described our
Puffins of Fair-Isle trip as “Skomer but with all your creature comforts!” However, the main advantage this trip has over Skomer is the lack of day-trippers.
Our guests on the 2018 trip were blessed with fantastic weather from gorgeous light to rain. The rain gave rise to stunning shots of puffins against dramatic skies & on another occasion, an incredible pink sky!
2019 will be Robin’s second year guiding our
Fair-Isle trip. Our first tour sold out in days, but we still have a couple of places available on our second tour. If you fancy joining Robin for some great photographic opportunities & lots of laughs, you can find more details of our
Shetland’s Puffins of Fair-Isle here.

It's a fantastic adventure to get to Fair Isle & in my opinion, really adds to the ...
