This way, all bases are covered depending on how close (or not) the bears are from the hide. Kevin’s go-to lens on this trip was his 150mm-600mm Sigma Sport, which proved to be extremely versatile. Its broad focal range allowed him to capture these beautiful reflection shots as well as tight portraits of the cubs. This then freed up the rest of the trip for them to experiment with shots or try something different. However, the weather was a different story! At the time of our tour, [Finland](https://natureslens.co.uk/discover/europe/finland/) was unseasonably cold, which caught everyone by surprise. In previous years, it had been so hot that the hides, at times, felt like they were saunas! Unlike the hides at Wild [Brown Bear](https://natureslens.co.uk/photograph/brown-bear/), the openings for the cameras are set low to allow for eye-level shots. For this reason, it would be a good idea to pack a right-angle viewfinder if you own one.
