What is a Photography Holiday?

A photography holiday is designed to maximise the photographic opportunities with minimal or informal tuition along the way.

We have designed our photography holidays to take you to great locations at the best time of year & get you to the right places for the best light.
We try to run things in a light-hearted & fun manner, after all, you are supposed to be on holiday!

What is a Photography Workshop?

A photography workshop is an educational experience to help you improve your photography skills & to learn how to get the best from your camera.

Our captive birds of prey workshops are designed to teach you new techniques such as how to improve your composition & birds in flight skills.
Our photography workshops are also a great way to get in some practice ahead of a photography holiday. Group sizes are kept small to allow us to give everyone some personal one to one time.

Do NaturesLens workshops & photography holidays offer post-processing tuition?

No, we don’t offer formal post-processing tuition during our workshops or photography holidays for one simple reason; after a long day’s photography, you will be too tired to want to sit through a classroom-style tuition session!

However, we are more than happy to review images & to provide post-processing advice should you want some help.

How large are the groups on a NaturesLens workshop or photography holiday?

We aim to deliver the best experience that we can via our workshops & photography holidays. As a team, we firmly believe that the only way to achieve this is to keep the group size as small as possible. Group sizes are usually restricted to 6 participants per leader, depending on the specific workshop or photography holiday. This way our team can pay more attention to all participants individually & make sure that you all gain the maximum benefit out of the workshop or photography holiday.

I am interested in a specific photography holiday, but it is fully booked - what can you do?

Some of our workshops & photography holidays are very popular. Hence they are fully booked as soon as they become available. If you would like to take part in one of them, send us an email via our contact form & we will add your name to a waiting list for the next one.

When it is about it be announced, we will send a notification to those on the waiting list, meaning that you will be the first to know about it.

How strenuous are NaturesLens workshops or photography holidays?

Our photography holidays generally cater to all levels of fitness & our workshops are comfortable for everyone. However, if any of them require strenuous walks or a high level of physical activity, it will be specified in the description.

How experienced do I have to be to attend a NaturesLens photography holiday?

Photographers of all experience levels are welcome on our workshops & photography holidays. We intend that you will leave our workshops & photography holidays with new skills & techniques, great memories & a portfolio of stunning images captured during the trip.

Are there really no single supplements on your photography holidays?

Absolutely not! We don’t penalise single travellers by making them pay extra to have a room to themselves. However, there are some trips where it is not possible for you to have your own room due to the nature of the accommodation. In these instances, we make it clear on the event page if the trip is one where you would have to share a room.

How do I book a NaturesLens workshop or photography holiday?

Before booking, it is essential that you read the relevant workshop or photography holiday page & our Booking Terms & Conditions. If you have any doubts regarding your suitability for a particular photography holiday, please contact us.

To book a NaturesLens workshop or photography holiday, just click the relevant link from the event page on our website. You will then be sent a booking form & a copy of our terms & conditions. To secure your place on the selected photography holiday, just complete the booking form with details of all persons travelling & holiday indemnity (if applicable), & return to us (either by email or by post) with confirmation that the deposit has been paid.
Payments should be made via bank transfer.
A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking unless you are booking less than 90 days before departure. In this case, full payment of the photography holiday price is required.

What are the payment options for a NaturesLens photography holiday?

  1. Full payment: This option allows you to pay for the photography holiday in full, meaning after making your booking enquiry & transferring your payment your place is reserved & you will have no further amount due to NaturesLens.
  2. Deposit payment: If you prefer payment in two parts, you can first pay a deposit to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 90 days before the photography holiday start date. If you wish to use the two-part payment option, select the “deposit” option on the booking enquiry form, displayed at the bottom of the event page for the photography holiday.

Is my money safe with NaturesLens?

NaturesLens Limited is a company committed to customer satisfaction & consumer financial protection. We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, & per ”The Package Travel, Package photography holidays Regulations 1992” all passengers booking with NaturesLens Limited are fully insured for the initial deposit, & subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation form.

The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of NaturesLens Limited.

Do I book my own flights?

Yes. Flights are not included in any of the prices for our photography holidays, but we are partnered with an ATOL protected company who can arrange flights for you if you need help, we have had a relationship with this company for many years, as such they are used to our group travel needs. We do not charge you for the use of this service.
