The [wolf](https://natureslens.co.uk/photograph/wolf/) pack crossed the [Yellowstone](https://natureslens.co.uk/specific-location/yellowstone/) valley at 7 a.m. with the temperature at -18°C. Three animals in open snow, moving fast, back-lit by low winter sun. The group had three minutes. What happened in those three minutes – who had which lens on, who nailed the exposure, what the guide called out – is exactly the kind of detail our trip reports capture. Written by [David Miles](https://natureslens.co.uk/about/david/) or [Pui Hang Miles](https://natureslens.co.uk/about/pui-hang/) shortly after each departure, these are honest accounts of what actually happened in the field: the encounters, the light, the decisions, & the results.

These are not polished marketing pieces. The reports cover early-morning hide sessions, unexpected wildlife encounters, the light that cooperated (or did not), & the shots the group came away with.

## What You’ll Find in Each Report

Every trip report covers the full arc of a departure: the conditions on the ground, the key wildlife encounters, how the group worked the photography opportunities & the results they achieved. You will see real images from participants alongside our guides’ honest assessment of how the trip played out against expectations.

We include practical detail too – which hides or locations were most productive, how the weather & light affected the schedule, what gear choices paid off & what we’d adjust next time. If you are considering booking a particular holiday, the trip reports for that destination are the closest thing to experiencing it before you go.

## A Growing Collection

We are building this library with every departure. Whether it is [golden eagles](https://natureslens.co.uk/photograph/golden-eagle/) in Northern [Sweden](https://natureslens.co.uk/discover/europe/sweden/)’s snow, [big cats](https://natureslens.co.uk/for/big-cat/) on an [African](https://natureslens.co.uk/discover/africa/) dawn, or hummingbirds frozen in flight against a [Costa Rican](https://natureslens.co.uk/discover/central-america/costa-rica/) forest, each report adds another layer of insight into what NaturesLens holidays deliver in practice.
