After jumping in at the last minute for our 2022 trip, we are excited to be able to invite four guests only of all photography proficiency levels to join Karen for this week-long Wildlife of the Scottish Highlands photography holiday in Inverness, Scotland. You will spend a 5-days photographing the Scottish Highlands’ wildlife in locations within the Cairngorms & on around Inverness, where you will be based.
Our 7-night Wildlife of the Scottish Highlands photography holiday has an itinerary created for photography of the beautiful Scottish Highland Wildlife found in locations known to Karen.
Plus, because the landscapes of the area are so stunning, we will be arranging a day of photography with David Russell, of Highland Wildscapes. David also jumped in at the last minute for our 2022 tour & helped to ensure that the trip happened for us in January 2022.
So, for 2023, we are ecstatic to have him guiding you to a number of his top locations for capturing landscape images that will be perfect for interleaving amongst those of the wildlife that you will be capturing

What wildlife of the Scottish Highlands will we be photographing?
Over the 7-night trip, the locations should present opportunities for capturing images of Crested Tit, Long-tailed Tit, Red Deer, Red Squirrel & more should be possible. Hopefully, there will be sessions for photographing Mountain Hare, but this is dependent on population recovery & favourable weather.
Karen will take you to several of her locations for capturing images of Red Squirrel, both in the Inverness area & further afield.
Karen will provide you with assistance & photography advice at her location where you will spend hours capturing stunning images of Crested Tit in amongst the fir trees.
Karen will guide you to her location & offer her advice for capturing images of the gorgeous Long-tailed Tit.
Mountain Hare photography is very much dependent on population recovery & favourable weather.
Hopefully, weather & conditions permitting, Karen will accompany you to the Alvie Estate & offer her advice for capturing images of the magnificent Red Deer.
Photographable Species: Long-tailed Tit, crested tit, red deer, red squirrel
