2018 – Spain’s Lynx, Eagles & Wildcats Photography Holiday

One Of The Iberian Lynx In The Sierra Morena Region Of Spain Photographed. During The NaturesLens Wildcats, Eagles & Iberian Lynx Of Spain Photography Holiday
NaturesLens invites wildlife photographers of amateur & semi-professional ability to join Victoria in escaping to the diverse landscape of Adamuz in Sierra Morena. A thriving hub of indigenous species, the various mammals & avian species that co-exist in the area is incredible.
This is the same location that we make use of during our spring trip, Eagles & Raptors of Spain, but at the time of year that this trip is being conducted, our target species are something altogether different! You will spend 4 nights, 5 packed-full days taking the opportunity to spend time in hides, in cars & on foot, hopefully enabling the capture of stunning images of wolf, ibex, golden eagle, imperial eagle, wildcat & of course, the Iberian lynx.
Join NaturesLens to capture images of Iberian Lynx, Wildcat & both Golden & Imperial Eagle, in Spain, during the Spain’s Lynx, Eagles & Wildcats past event. This past event is of 4 night/5 day duration on a Half Board, Non-Shared basis & costs £1499  £1399 per participant.
It has taken years to habituate the lynx & wildcat to the presence of the hides & we are very excited to be able to offer you the opportunity to capture all the target species within their habitats & interacting with one another.
With a selection of comfortable hides throughout the area at our disposal, we will provide you with the best photography opportunities possible.
Small group sizes, led by Victoria & our local guide, allow you to capture spectacular images from the best angles, with photography guidance provided by Victoria where needed.
This leads to facilitating stunning shots from the car for the wolves & each of the photographic hides that you will have access to. From the majestic Imperial Eagle to the small, but ferocious, wildcat, you should leave with some amazing photographs & experiences. To give the best chance of capturing award-worthy images, we include 3 hide sessions with the lynx; the Iberian Lynx is a naturally shy animal, but these hide sessions are proving to be extremely productive.
NaturesLens provides a trip of 5 days duration packed with photographic opportunities, where your photography will benefit from unrivalled access to hides, placed strategically within the landscape to provide the optimum opportunity to photograph species such as golden eagle, imperial eagle, kestrel, lynx & wildcat. You may well spot other species at some of the hides, including red fox & egyptian mongoose.
This is a unique opportunity to photograph some of Spain’s most impressive, yet elusive species.
Accommodation is provided on a full board basis – from a light breakfast through to a 3-course dinner with a picnic lunch in between. Everything is taken care of for you so that experiencing & photographing the species & their environment are all you need to worry about.
This trip suits keen photographers with a desire to experience the magnificent wildlife that this region of Spain has to offer; capturing editorial-quality images of a range of both mammal & bird species to treasure for years to come. Places are highly limited to ensure the best experience for every guest, so book early to avoid disappointment.

2019 – Spanish Birds of Calera Photography Holiday

One Of The Lesser Kestrels From A Large Clony Living In A Derelict Barn Photographed During The Spanish Birds Of The Calera Plains Photography Holiday
Join Alan on an exciting photography excursion suited to wildlife enthusiasts, photographing the diverse bird species that inhabit the plains of Calera. With a wide selection of comfortable hides throughout the area at our disposal, we will provide you with the best bird photography opportunities possible, capturing them in flight, within their habitats & interacting with one another.
Working from dawn ’til dusk watching this wonderful range of species in action, this is an experience you won’t want to miss!
Join NaturesLens to capture images of owls, kites & other birdlife, in Spain, during the Spanish Birds of Calera photography holiday. This photography holiday is of 8 night/9 day duration on a Full Board, Non-Shared basis & costs £2249 per participant.
We have been capturing images in this region of Spain, using these hides for the past 6 years, & we can honestly say that the range of bird species which thrive in Calera is a sight to behold. From the Little Owl to Black & Griffon Vultures, their characteristics & common behaviours are diverse, but they all live side by side making up a large proportion of the delicate local ecosystem which exists in this region. Birds can provide some of the most exciting wildlife photography opportunities, as their quick, unpredictable behaviour keeps us on our toes & enables captivating movement & in-flight imagery to be captured.
Our 8 night/9 day excursion to Calera offers opportunities to photograph a huge range of native species, including the Bee Eater, Little Owl, Great & Little Bustard, Black & Griffon Vultures, Lesser & Common Kestrel, Hoopoe, & the Black Winged Kite, as well as many others. We offer an all-inclusive accommodation & meal package to ensure that all you need to worry about is taking unique & mesmerising photographs.
Sunrise & sunset are often considered the prime times of day for creative photography, so unlike other holidays & tours, we ensure that our photography sessions make the most of these times of the day. This provides unrivalled exposure to the variety of species & the environment which inhabit this region.
NaturesLens provides 7 days of hide sessions, & on most days you will have the opportunity to use different hides in the morning & afternoon to photograph different species. This trip works on a rotation basis so that each member of the group gets the opportunity to take photographs from a variety of hides. The region is home to a wide range of Iberian Southern European specialities, & we will do our best to tailor your schedule if you make us aware of your target species, photography guidance is provided by Alan where needed.
The freedom we provide with the times of day for photography is important, as many of these bird species are very wary & cautious around humans, & it may, therefore, be necessary to arrive under the cover of darkness. It will also be advisable to approach slowly, & keep noise at a minimum whilst in the hides so as not to startle the birds, as well as to optimise your chances of photographing the birds whilst they are unaware of your presence.
The weather can vary between different times of day in this region at this time of year, so we advise that you bring layers & prepare for somewhat unpredictable weather conditions.
Join NaturesLens for a wildlife photography experience you will never forget.
