African Fish Eagle at Chobe River
Along the Chobe River, where Botswana's northern border meets Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, the African Fish Eagle can be found perched above the waters that form the lifeblood of this stretch of Chobe National Park. Photographers travelling with the Wildlife of the Chobe River holiday typically have the best opportunity to encounter this species here in October. The river's edge offers an excellent vantage point for capturing the eagle against its riverine backdrop, so it's worth keeping cameras ready as you move along the water. Patience along these banks is often rewarded with striking views of this iconic bird.
