Himalayan Griffon at Qing-zang Plateau

Rising to meet the sky across Tibet, the Qing-zang Plateau's immense open grasslands and arid steppe provide the dramatic backdrop against which the Himalayan Griffon is best photographed. This vast highland, often called the roof of the world, offers wide, uncluttered vistas that allow these huge raptors to be seen soaring or perched against a stark, elevated landscape.
