Early starts, long field sessions, kit management, & travel days all add up. Having your own room gives you space to charge batteries, review images, dry gear, & rest properly before the next session.
For many photographers, personal space is not about luxury. It is about being ready for the next early start & keeping equipment organised enough that nothing gets missed.
How we describe rooming
Single occupancy is included on virtually all NaturesLens trips, with any exception clearly stated. Pallas Cats of the Mongolian Steppe is a rooming exception: single occupancy is not included. Check the accommodation details for your chosen departure before booking.

Are wildlife photography holidays really suitable for solo travellers?
Yes – & travelling alone is genuinely common on NaturesLens trips, not an exception. Our tours, safaris & holidays run in small groups, with most trips taking four to six photographers & some taking seven, so you are never one anonymous face in a large crowd. Everyone in the group is there for the same reason – the photography – which tends to make conversation & rapport happen naturally, guided rather than forced.
An experienced photographer-guide leads every trip, giving the group a shared focus & structure throughout each day, so you are never left to navigate logistics or decisions alone. Many guests book as individuals precisely because a structured, guided small group removes the usual friction of solo travel while still giving you full control over your own time, pace & photography.
