Marsh Harrier at Bence Máté’s hides

Bence Máté's hides in southern Hungary sit within the wetland mosaics and fishponds of the Pannonian Basin, where open farmland, scrubby steppe and riparian woodland converge to create ideal conditions for spotting the Marsh Harrier. Photographers joining the Hungarian Winter Wildlife holiday in February can make use of these carefully positioned hides to work this low-lying landscape at eye level with the water.
