Tibetan Antelope at Budongquan
Budongquan, a remote high-altitude settlement on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, lies within range of Hoh Xil, one of the last great strongholds for the Tibetan antelope and wild yak. Photographers joining Tibetan Wildlife of the Qing-Zang Plateau will use this outpost as a base for encountering the chiru against the vast, open expanse of the plateau. November is the typical month to visit, when the thin air and dramatic light of this remote landscape combine to frame these resilient animals in their stark, high-altitude world.
