We’ve timed our trip for July, which is the dry season. This means we’ll enjoy clearer skies, better light for photography, & wildlife that’s easier to find as they gather around reliable water sources. It’s nature’s way of rolling out the red carpet for us!

Your Home Away From Home – Two Wonderful Lodges

To ensure we experience the best of this region, we’ve handpicked two fantastic lodges in different areas. This isn’t just about a change of scenery (though the views are breathtaking!); it’s about doubling our chances for incredible encounters.

First Stop – Cloud Forest Magic

Our first lodge, nestled near the Serra dos Órgãos, will be our base for exploring misty trails & hidden waterfalls. It’s the perfect spot to meet the locals – from the dazzling Green-headed Tanagers to the charming Spot-billed Toucanets.

Second Stop – Mountain Highs

We’ll then journey to a lovely lodge in the Mantiqueira Mountains. The air is cooler here, the landscapes are dramatic, & you’ll encounter a whole new cast of characters, like the secretive Black-cheeked Gnateater. Each lodge offers unique comforts & puts us right in the heart of the action.
