Plains Zebra at Shompole

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Nguruman Escarpment, Shompole offers a striking stage for photographing Plains Zebra against a landscape of acacia woodland and rugged Rift Valley scenery. This community-conserved wilderness in southern Kenya, close to the Tanzanian border, provides a wonderfully open setting for capturing the species' bold striped patterning in good light.
