African Elephant at Maasai Mara

The rolling grasslands and acacia woodland of the Maasai Mara, together with the riverine forest fringing the Mara River, provide the open terrain where African Elephants can be observed and photographed against wide, uncluttered backdrops. This landscape forms the northern reach of the Serengeti ecosystem, giving photographers a real sense of scale as these animals move across the plains.
