Best time

Early morning & late afternoon during the dry season (April to October) offer the best light & highest activity levels.

Approach

Use a telephoto lens of at least 300mm to capture close-up shots without disturbing the group. Position yourself near fruiting trees at dawn or dusk when the lemurs are most active & the light is warm & directional. Shoot in burst mode to capture movement as they leap between branches, & use a fast shutter speed of at least 1/500s to freeze motion.
