Our Accommodation whilst visiting Bandhavgarh

For this particular version of our stay in Bandhavgarh, we have chosen Bamboo Grove Lodge as our base. Set on the edge of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, this intimate, boutique lodge offers a refined yet deeply immersive wildlife experience – a place where comfort, conservation & connection to the natural world come together effortlessly. With just a small number of villas spread across a private wilderness estate, Bamboo Grove feels calm, considered & perfectly suited to the pace of a photography-led trip.

There were several reasons why we chose Bamboo Grove Lodge:

Outstanding Location – Positioned close to the core zones of Bandhavgarh, Bamboo Grove provides excellent access to the park’s renowned tiger territories. The surrounding landscape – a mix of grassland, forest & water – creates a constant sense of being immersed in the wild, with the sounds of the jungle never far away.

Thoughtfully Designed Accommodation – The lodge offers beautifully designed private villas that blend seamlessly with their surroundings. Built using local materials & natural textures, they provide space, comfort & privacy, with every detail considered to enhance your connection to the environment.

A More Considered Style of Luxury – This is not luxury in the traditional sense, but something more meaningful – quiet, understated & rooted in place. Service is personal, intuitive & warm, creating an atmosphere where you can properly relax between drives.

Sustainability & Conservation at its Core – Bamboo Grove is built around responsible practices, from rainwater harvesting & native planting to eliminating single-use plastics wherever possible. The lodge works closely with local communities, employing staff from nearby villages & supporting regional culture & heritage.

Authentic Dining Experience – Meals are fresh, seasonal & thoughtfully prepared, often using locally sourced ingredients. Dining here feels relaxed & in keeping with the surroundings, whether enjoying Indian dishes or more familiar options after a long day in the field.

Bamboo Grove Lodge is more than simply where we stay – it becomes part of the experience. It’s a place that allows you to slow down, reset between safaris, & remain fully connected to the landscape we’ve come to photograph.

Full-Day Safari Included

For several reasons, a full-day safari in Bandhavgarh National Park is an excellent addition to this trip. Bandhavgarh is renowned for its high density of Royal Bengal Tigers, making it one of the best places in India to spot these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. During a full-day safari, you have an extended period to explore the park, increasing your chances of encountering tigers & other wildlife species.

Moreover, a full-day safari allows for a more immersive wildlife experience. You can observe animal behaviour, learn about their habitats, & capture incredible photographs. The extended duration also enables you to explore lesser-known areas of the park, away from the crowded tourist spots, providing a more intimate & authentic wildlife encounter.

In addition, Bandhavgarh National Park is home to a rich variety of bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatching enthusiasts. During a full-day safari, you can dedicate more time to birdwatching, spotting & identifying different species, & enjoying the melodious songs of the avian residents.

Bandhavgarh National Park is not only about tigers. The park is teeming with other wildlife, including leopards, deer, wild boars, sloth bears, & various species of primates. With a full-day safari, you have a higher chance of spotting these animals & witnessing their natural behaviour.
